On the day of Ferragosto, an 11-year-old boy was miraculously saved from a sudden illness at sea, after being resuscitated several times by 118 paramedics both on the beach and during transport to the hospital.
However, 48 hours later, the little boy died. The incident occurred at a beach in Ischitella, Castel Volturno.
The child, originally from Melito di Napoli, had become ill while in the water. He was rescued and brought back to shore, where he received CPR before being rushed to Pineta Grande Hospital in Castel Volturno.
During the journey, the child's heart stopped twice and was resuscitated by paramedics. The 11-year-old was subsequently transferred to Santobono Hospital in Naples, where he sadly died due to his serious condition.
