San Gregorio Magno hosts the 31st Baccanalia: 'Guardians of a Dream Open to Heaven'

### The 31st Edition of Baccanalia returns to San Gregorio Magno

The 31st edition of Baccanalia, the popular festival that every summer enlivens the ancient village of San Gregorio Magno in the province of Salerno, returns to via Bacco, the beating heart of the village, from 21 to 25 August for five days of entertainment, gastronomy and culture.

### Afternoon and Evening Experiences

This year, the event is enriched with a series of afternoon and evening experiences that will allow participants to fully experience the culture and traditions of the area. Suitable for visitors of all ages, the village will come alive in the early afternoon with itinerant activities, guided tours, workshops and itineraries dedicated to families. These activities will offer participants the opportunity to discover the history and places that gave life to this famous event, revealing its connection with nature, craftsmanship and banditry.

### Pre-Dinner Talk and Evening Activities

There will also be plenty of space for evening activities, where the opening of the famous cellars will be preceded by the Pre Dinner Talks. This round table will revolve around the theme “Guardians of an Open-Air Enterprise”. Every evening, the Pre Dinner Talks will host a series of meetings that will address current issues, from rural culture to digital innovation, from the historical phenomenon of brigandage to the sustainability of peasant traditions.

### Extra-Food and Wine and Music

In addition to food and wine activities, the event includes guided tours and interactive itineraries for a complete enjoyment of the event. A special arena, decentralized from the cellars, will host musical performances with the participation of various artists and folk groups. This will allow visitors to experience the village in the full warmth of folklore, discovering the local gastronomy and culture until 1 am, while music lovers can have fun in the arena until late at night.

### Inclusiveness and Safety

The Pro Loco of San Gregorio Magno and the Municipal Administration, in compliance with the plan for the safety of activities, will guarantee a limited number of presences within the village of via Bacco. The area will be accessible without architectural barriers, with the patronage of the CIP, Italian Paralympic Committee Campania, and the support of the Association "Mi girano le ruote" and the paralympic athlete Gianni Sasso.

### Logistics Information

The activities will take place from 21 to 25 August 2024 with the following times:
– Evening activities: from 20:00 pm to 02:00 am, with entrances and box office closing at 00:30 am
– Afternoon activities and experiences: from 15:30 pm to 18:00 pm
– Talk Show: from 19:30 pm to 20:30 pm
– Concerts: from 22:30 pm to 02:00 am
– Catering service provided by the cellars: from 19:00 pm
