The 20-year-old man involved in a tragic car accident yesterday in Sant'Antimo, near Naples, remains in serious condition. He is hospitalized with a critical prognosis at Cardarelli Hospital in Naples and is fighting for his life after colliding with a hit-and-run driver who fled without providing assistance.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Via Leopardi and Via Di Giacomo. The victim, along with an 18-year-old friend, was riding a scooter when a car, as yet unidentified, struck them and fled the scene. While the 20-year-old remains in life-threatening condition, his 18-year-old friend, admitted to Ospedale del Mare, suffered less serious injuries and is expected to recover within 30 days.
