The results of the sea checks in the Gulf of Naples, carried out in the week between 12 and 18 August, are four boats seized and ten illegal moorings identified.
The checks were conducted by the Port Authority, the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza, and the Metropolitan Police, as planned by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, chaired by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari.
During the week around Ferragosto, a total of 699 boats and vessels were checked, of which 164 were fined for violation of the Navigation Code, 4 were seized and 10 illegal moorings identified.
In addition, 863 people were checked, one of whom was subjected to a breathalyser test and 31 were fined for unfitness to drive.

"In the coming days and weeks," the Prefecture informs, "The intense activity implemented will continue, with a large deployment of all forces engaged on the seaways, to combat all forms of illegality and ensure the safety of swimmers, boaters, and sportsmen."
