The finance police found a room hidden behind a wardrobe, used as a vault , inside which they discovered a large amount of cash, mostly divided into "bundles" of 20, 50, 100 and 200 euros, and wrapped in envelopes bearing various writings and notes.
The professional, who is also a relative of a well-known entrepreneur and former councilor of the municipality of Gragnano, has been part of several commissions over the years that assigned civil disabilities to citizens who applied for them.
The Guardia di Finanza men seized not only a large sum of cash, disproportionate to the doctor's declared income and anomalous both in quantity and in the way it was stored, but also all the documentation pertaining to his professional activity.
The seizure was subsequently validated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata which had authorized home access.
The preventive seizure of the cash was subsequently validated by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Torre Annunziata, considering the more than reasonable illicit origin of the same, using concrete and specific evidence of the crime of aggravated fraud against the State and in any case of the crime of receiving stolen goods.
