After years of waiting, the new headquarters of the National Carabinieri Association (ANC) officially opens in Striano.
The inauguration represents a significant moment for the local community, which can now count on a point of reference dedicated to one of the most important symbols of the Carabinieri.
At the helm of the Striano section, located in Via Beniamino Marciano at the Social Center, in the premises made available by the municipal administration, there is an organizational chart of great experience and dedication: President, Marshal Major Catello Capoluongo; Vice President, Lieutenant Massimo Braciglianese; Secretary: Brigadier Chief Carmine Macri.
Named after General Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa, Gold Medal for Civil Valor, assassinated by the mafia in Palermo on 3 September 1982, the headquarters is a testament to the territory's ties with the Carabinieri "in service and on leave", underlining the importance of the presence of the men of the Benemerita as a garrison of legality.
A fitting tribute to a man who represented a bulwark in the fight against organized crime.
Who can join? The National Carabinieri Association opens its doors to different categories of members, each with the possibility of actively contributing to the association's life:
Active Members – Military personnel, including officers of other arms, corps and services, serving or retired.
Family Members – Members of the military’s family unit, including ascendants, descendants (children and grandchildren), brothers, sisters and their respective spouses.
Supporting Members – Those who share the values, spirit and aims of the ANC.
Special note for foreign sections: descendant members are treated in all respects as effective members, with the right to vote actively and passively.
A Global Network of Brotherhood The ANC, with its headquarters in Rome at the Barracks of the Carabinieri Training School in Via Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa n.1/A, is chaired at the national level by General of the Army Corps Libero Lo Sardo.
The association has over 169.000 sections distributed across four continents, testifying to the global diffusion of the values and ideals of the Carabinieri.
An Invitation to the Community of Striano – The new headquarters is not only a meeting place for retired military personnel, but also a meeting place for all those who believe in the values of legality, justice and community service.
Participating in the association's life means contributing to keeping alive the memory and commitment of those who have dedicated their lives to defending legality.
