A 48-year-old man from Teano, who had been under house arrest since June 24 at his mother's house on charges of theft, aggravated personal injury, and possession and dealing of narcotics, was reached yesterday by the Carabinieri of the local station with a new ordinance.
The order, issued by the surveillance office of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, replaces the precautionary measure in force with a more severe one, namely detention in prison.
The decision was made following a complaint filed by the mother herself a few days ago at the Carabinieri station in Teano.
The woman said she was exasperated and frightened by her son 's behavior , which had not stopped tormenting her since the day she was confined to her home.
The demands for money to buy drugs were incessant, and on one occasion, the man allegedly threatened to set his mother on fire if she did not buy back his previously seized car.
Due to these circumstances, the man was transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
