Surveillance and prevention services continue in the so-called Land of Fires between the provinces of Naples and Caserta, further intensified in the current summer period by order of the prefect of Naples Michele of Bari.
Joint checks by the personnel and equipment of the Italian Army's 'Safe Streets' contingent, local police forces, and the Metropolitan Police were concentrated across all areas of the country, from the Nola area to the Domitian coast, and in particular around the municipalities of Giugliano, Mugnano, Caivano, Acerra, Afragola, Brusciano, Saviano, and the capital.
Following these checks, six vehicles were seized, two reports were filed, and administrative fines totaling approximately €180,000 were imposed.

Law enforcement agencies are also engaged in extensive monitoring to verify new waste dumping sites or the increase in those already registered, with the dual purpose of directing controls along the lines of illegal transportation and reporting accumulations of materials to local authorities for removal.
The patrols on the territory are also mobilized in strengthening cooperation with the Fire Brigade and this has allowed, in several cases, in Acerra, Nola, Caivano and at the nomad camp adjacent to the Asi of Giugliano, to promptly report situations of fire initiation and ensure the safety of the areas as well as a prompt intervention of the operators to put out the flames, limiting the emissions of smoke.
During the active checks on the perimeter of the site in via Carrafiello, in Giugliano, a patrol of the Italian Army also intervened for a health emergency regarding a Roma girl who was complaining of respiratory problems, promptly activating the necessary aid.
