Starting tomorrow September 12th Air Campania will launch the regional school transport plan, which includes approximately 1.500 daily trips to connect schools and universities.

The program was developed by technicians from the Campania Region's local public transport company in response to the mobility needs presented by territorial representatives of the Regional School Office.

In the province of Avellino, the operating plan includes 600 trips per day to the main educational institutions. Also planned are 16 services for students departing from the Avellino Bus Station to the city's school campuses.

The connection services with the municipalities of Aiello del Sabato, Capriglia Irpinia and Montella have been implemented. The Avellino-Afragola route has also been strengthened from 12 September with 13 direct trips to the High Speed Station.

110 daily trips to and from Naples are guaranteed, while with the plan in full swing, and the start of all university courses, by September 23 the connections from the Irpinia capital to the Universities of Fisciano, Benevento and Caserta will be further strengthened.

In Benevento, the plan includes approximately 140 trips per day, with services guaranteed for the city's schools departing from Calvi, Ceppaloni, Cerreto Sannita, Guardia Sanframondi, Montesarchio, San Giorgio del Sannio and Sant'Agata de' Goti. In addition to these, there are school trips on the Cervinara-Montesarchio-Airola line and services from Benevento to Cervinara.

Connections with the universities will be guaranteed by 16 daily trips Benevento-Caserta, 20 in the direction of Naples. When fully operational, the plan includes dedicated services for university students departing from Valle Caudina.

In the province of Caserta, the “open schools” program includes 350 trips to and from the main schools. Services are guaranteed for students to and from the municipalities of Alto Casertano and Agro Aversano.

University connections include 10 trips to Fisciano and 92 to Naples. From Capua there are 76 daily trips to Naples, with additional connections from Vairano to the Metropolitan City.

About 60 trips allow you to reach the Federico II engineering faculty in Piazzale Tecchio from Mondragone-Castel Volturno. In Aversa, the Circolare guarantees 44 trips to the Architecture and Engineering departments of the “Vanvitelli”, to which are added 2 Aversa-University of Fisciano services.

The other improvements concern the school routes from Teverola, Villa Literno, Pinetamare and the connections between Cervino and Caserta, with 24 daily trips via Maddaloni, and a further 16 trips from Maddaloni to Caserta.

8 daily services are active from San Felice to Cancello for the “San Leucio” art high school and 24 trips from Mondragone to the Piscinola metro, useful for reaching the Federico II educational center in Scampia.

In Naples there are 80 school services, with stops at the main high schools and connections to the University. In addition, Air Campania also guarantees daily connections from Boscoreale, Pompei and Nola to the University of Salerno. School services are also active on the Massa di Somma-Pollena Trocchia-Sant'Anastasia line and university services from Volla and Pollena Trocchia to Naples.

In the Salerno basin there are 60 daily trips to the Fisciano-Lancusi university campus and the Federico II University Hospital. Daily services are also guaranteed from Nocera Inferiore, Sicignano degli Alburni and Contursi for the University of Salerno.

In addition to those from Salerno, Sarno and Nocera Inferiore to the Federico II University Hospital. The operating plan also includes extra-regional connections from the province of Caserta: the Prata Sannita-Isernia route, with stops at the Art Institute and the “Fascitelli” High School, and the Vairano-Cassino for the University.

“The Campania Region continues to make enormous efforts on the public transport front, thanks to President De Luca,” says Anthony Acconcia, sole director of Air Campania. “This – he adds – has allowed us to set up a massive regional program for school transport, which responds to the demand for student mobility, in order to guarantee an efficient and punctual service.

In the next few days, the plan will be monitored, which could result in variations in traffic flows. If necessary, we will be ready to intervene promptly with the necessary corrections".
