Hydrogeological risk is among the main concerns. The Civil Protection Department warns that rainfall could cause flooding, rising water levels, dangerous road flows, runoff carrying debris and mud, rockfall, and landslides. These dangers are amplified by recent forest fires and soil saturation, making the area more vulnerable.
Particular attention is also paid to gusts of wind that could cause damage to public greenery, with the possible fall of branches or trees, and put at risk the stability of structures exposed to atmospheric stress. The Civil Protection of the Campania he invited the Municipalities to mobilize the Municipal Operations Centers (COC) and to carefully follow the indications of the Unified Regional Operations Room.
