Behind the image of the TikTok watch expert was an alleged luxury goods trafficker. Domenico Ferraro, 43, was arrested in Parete on charges of illegal possession of weapons, receiving stolen goods, money laundering, and counterfeiting.
A veritable arsenal was found in his home, over 240.000 euros in cash and a vast assortment of luxury watches, many of which were counterfeit or of illicit origin.
Investigations suggest that Ferraro was involved in a high-end watch smuggling ring.
And so the apparently peaceful life of TikToker Domenico Ferraro was turned upside down by an operation by the Naples Flying Squad that brought to light a disturbing arsenal and an illicit business in the world of luxury goods.
A hidden arsenal
During a house search in Parete, in the province of Caserta, the police made a disconcerting discovery. In a bedroom wall, carefully hidden behind a plasterboard panel, two safes were found.
Inside, a veritable arsenal: over 200 bullets of various calibers, ready to be used with the weapons that Ferraro illegally possessed. Among these, a Beretta model 70 caliber 7×65, reported stolen in 2009, was ready for use with a magazine inserted and a cartridge in the barrel.
A treasure trove of counterfeit watches
But the surprises didn't end there. In another room of the house, the police found a real treasure trove of luxury watches, with an estimated value of over a million euros. rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet: prestigious brands that, upon closer inspection, turned out to be largely counterfeit or lacking the documents certifying their authenticity.
Numerous watch components, such as bezels, dials and straps, were found in a craft workshop set up inside the house, all of which suggested a large-scale counterfeiting activity.
A million-dollar business
The investigations allowed us to reconstruct a disturbing picture: Ferraro, in addition to being a watch enthusiast, seemed to have built a real economic empire based on the sale of counterfeit luxury goods and the illegal importation of authentic watches, evading customs controls. The money obtained from these illicit activities was hidden inside the house, as demonstrated by the 240.000 euros in cash found in the safes.
The arrest and charges
Ferraro was arrested in flagrante delicto and taken to prison. The charges against him are very serious: illegal possession of weapons, receiving stolen goods, money laundering and counterfeiting. The tiktoker is accused of having created a real criminal system, profiting from the sale of fake luxury goods and putting the safety of citizens at risk with the possession of an arsenal.
A few days ago he showed himself in a video on a deep-sea motorboat around the Gulf of Naples making an appointment with all his customers on September 2nd, the date of reopening of his business on Tik Tok. In another he showed the new 500 square meter headquarters under construction.
