Drug addict inmate commits suicide in Benevento prison.

He was a chronic drug addict under the care of the prison's Ser D. The number of suicides in our region continues to rise, reflecting a rising suicide rate.
At a national level we are at 68 cases, while in Campania we are at 8. Samuele Ciambriello, Campania guarantor for the rights of prisoners, declared that these are "a tragedy, a state massacre that occurs amid the indifference of politics and civil society."
