Naples. He had no certified ties to the Scampia clans and yet he was killed like a boss. Or rather, like gangsters were killed in Chicago in the 1930s: on the barber's chair.
The turbulent past of Camillo Esposito, murdered yesterday evening in the barber shop in the Lotto P area of Scampia, directs the investigations towards the Camorra trail without ifs or buts.
Twelve shots from a 9mm semi-automatic fired at close range. A robbery and precise action. A professional killer: cold and determined.
He entered the barber shop at Via Ghisleri 16 “Hair design Luxury Ciro Morvillo” with a gun in his hand just before midnight, fired without hesitation and then drove away in a car with an accomplice waiting for him at the wheel.
By the time the shop owner and the other customer realized what had happened a few seconds earlier, the killer was already out of the woods.
On site are the police, the agents of the flying squad and those of the Scampia police station who are conducting the investigations under the coordination of the Naples DDA.
The images from public and private cameras in the area are being analyzed. The two witnesses were heard. The relatives, the friends. But above all, the telephone traffic and the messages on social media were analyzed.

Esposito he was arrested for attempted murder ten years ago, when he was only 19. He was captured by the police along with other young people, considered responsible for an attack that took place on January 27 of the same year, near the subway stop on Via Zuccarini.
After weeks of investigation, the Scampia officers identified a group of boys composed of two adults and three minors, including Esposito. According to investigators, the youths attacked a 22-year-old for trivial reasons. The victim, repeatedly kicked and punched, was then stabbed several times in the lower back and back.
