Arzano. Cemetery Consortium between the municipalities of Arzano, Casoria and Casavatore: the National Anti-Corruption Authority archives the complaint of a former administrator.
No incompatibility of office or accumulation of functions for the current director Sabato Terracciano.
An outcome that was a foregone conclusion both for the board of directors and for the mayor Luigi Maglione who had branded as “nonsense” the rumors spread about the appointment of the current director by the mayor of Casavatore.
After careful and detailed documentation sent by the current manager Terracciano, assisted by the consortium councilors - who immediately highlighted the absolute groundlessness of the complaint - the Anac has definitively archived the investigation, highlighting that "there are no grounds for initiating a supervisory procedure in the area of corruption prevention".
A slap in the face for both the whistleblower and the detractors who had pointed the finger, in particular, at the accumulation of roles conferred to the current Consortium Director and his appointment as head of corruption prevention and transparency, as well as head of general and financial affairs in an institution that has just eight employees, of which only two are administrative, compared to a user base of approximately 150 thousand people from the three consortium municipalities.
With the consequence, according to the complainant, that he would have found himself adopting acts by providing the relative opinion of regularity himself, as well as the independent evaluation body (OIV), would have communicated that, due to this anomalous multiplicity of roles, the Director would have often found himself in the position of having to abstain from the measures.
But yesterday the Anti-Corruption Authority put an end to a real persecution by definitively rejecting the complaint where it was improbably reported that the same person would have simultaneously held the position of member of the OIV which instead turned out to be a monocratic one and entrusted to an external professional.
