The event, as Antonio Mastroianni, the new Sports Councillor of the VI Municipality, underlined, unites the values of sport with those of memory: “Sport is recognized by the Constitution as an instrument of social value and the bicycle, protagonist of this event, was a silent ally of the Resistance during the Nazi occupation”.
The ride will be attended, among others, by Emanuela Ferrante, Councilor for Sports of the Municipality of Naples, Sandro Fucito, President of the VI Municipality, and Vincenzo Calò, Head of ANPI Meridione, together with Michele Maddaloni, President of the ANPI Napoli Est Section, and the association's activists. Participation is open to all citizens who wish to pay homage to the history and values of freedom, cycling through the symbolic places of the Neapolitan resistance.
