The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Benevento, together with the Forestry Group of the Sannio capital, have intensified controls in the car wash sector.
The operation is part of an activity aimed at preventing and repressing the phenomenon of labor exploitation and undeclared work, as well as verifying compliance with worker safety regulations and environmental provisions.
The checks focused mainly on the regularity of hiring and compliance with employment contracts, with particular attention to the most serious crimes related to the use of illegal labor.
The checks, conducted in various areas of the province of Benevento and in the capital, led to the identification of an irregular car wash in Benevento. For this activity, deferred suspension was ordered, in addition to fines exceeding 30 thousand euros.
During the inspections, the employment of an “illegal” worker, the absence of a Risk Assessment Document (DVR), the lack of mandatory health surveillance and personal protective equipment for some employees were ascertained.
Furthermore, the lack of authorization for the installation of audiovisual systems in the workplace was found. The owner of the car wash, a 39-year-old Egyptian citizen, was reported.
