Pagani, 180 kg of homemade explosives seized: one arrest

The Salerno Finance Police discovered a large arsenal of explosives in Pagani, during a routine road check. Inside a car, over 1.200 homemade devices were found, without any authorization.

Subsequently, when searching the home of the person responsible, the soldiers found approximately 1.700 explosives, for a total weight of 180 kg, hidden in two basement rooms, a few meters from other houses.

The man, an Italian citizen, was arrested in flagrante delicto for illegal possession of explosives.

A danger to the community

This discovery highlights the serious danger represented by the illegal production and possession of explosives. The Guardia di Finanza will continue to monitor and combat this phenomenon, in order to guarantee the safety of citizens.
