Naples' literary heart is beating again. The Via Port'Alba revitalization project, promoted and funded by the City of Naples, continues with a book fair, music festival, and meetings with authors and publishers. Following the lighting of the aerial light installation "Questi miei fantasmi" (These My Ghosts), conceived by renowned designer and artist Antonio Marras, in August, the Port'Alba Cultural Association's program of events kicks off on September 12th. The initiative aims to support book culture by engaging key players in the publishing industry.

A cultural regeneration project

“These appointments – says Sergio Locoratolo, coordinator of cultural policies of the Municipality of Naples –represent a new chapter in the project designed to restore via Port'Alba to its historic beauty. Everyone knows how much culture can be felt along this short stretch of road. It is a place of the soul, the emblem of an ancient Naples that attracts citizens and tourists, readers and the curious who pass through it every day to rediscover the pleasure of leafing through a book. It is to all of them that we want to guarantee with the new series of meetings an original immersion in the literary heart of the city, already illuminated by the lanterns of Antonio Marras who, with an action of urban regeneration through art, enhance the famous street of booksellers with colors and imagination”.
