For six days, Bellizzi was transformed into a lively center of creativity and imagination thanks to the Fabula Award. This cultural event welcomed young writers, young creatives and future artists who, armed with backpacks and hats, made the scene even more vivid with their stories and narrations. The President of the Fabula Cultural Association, Giovanni Serritella, exalted the inspiring power of the new generations, underlining the importance of dreaming and imagining a better world.
Stories That Save the Soul
Seventeen Honorable Mentions were awarded during the event to stories that captured the hearts and souls of the judges. The stories explored themes such as friendship, peace, love of family and nature, and the desire for a safer, cleaner world. Each unique story highlighted universal values such as gratitude, inner beauty, and the power of memories.
The Fables and the Authors
Among the awarded stories, “L'albero magico” by Armando Corrado Rossomando, “I ragazzi di piazza Totò” by 4th and 5th grade G. Rodari, “I giorni più belli svelati dalla guerra” by Aurora Paolillo, and many others stand out. Each author, from the youngest to the oldest, brought a piece of their inner world, creating powerful and touching narratives.

Participating in Fabula 2024, Enrico Brignano talked about his personal connection with fairy tales, recalling the stories his grandmother used to tell him and underlining the importance of laughter and beauty to save the soul. Brignano, who will debut in October with “Sette re di Roma”, highlighted how the evening story time with his children is an untouchable ritual, a sacred time that strengthens the family bond.
