The Centro Direzionale in Naples will host two days dedicated to the legendary and entertaining figure of Figaro. The event is part of the "Nuove Direzioni" series, curated by the La Dramaturgie association as part of "Affabulazione. Espressioni della Napoli policentrica," a program promoted by the City of Naples and funded by the National Entertainment Fund of the Directorate General for Entertainment of the Ministry of Culture.
Programming for September 11: Reading and Installation
The celebrations will begin on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 18:35 pm at AreaLab48/Associazione Kaos 5 (G4 island, accessible from via Giovanni Porzio XNUMX). The event will feature a lively reading, installation, conference, and performance based on “Figaro sulla ruota del hamster” by Gian Maria Cervo and Nicola Bremer. Curated by Sarasole Notarbartolo, the event will feature Renato Bisogni, Bruno Cassandra, Marco Curci, Emma La Marca, and Annalaura Russolillo. The performances will be held in Italian, regional Italian, and Neapolitan, offering multilingual and engaging content.
The evening of September 12th: Musical and summer comedy
The party will continue on Thursday, September 12 at 21:2 p.m. at the Amphitheater of the Centro Direzionale on Isola EXNUMX. On this occasion, a musical and summer comedy version of “Figaro on the Hamster Wheel” will be presented, in collaboration with the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater. The performance will be performed in Italian and German – with surtitles for the German parts – and will be directed by Nicola Bremer. The cast includes Gerolamo Fancellu, David Thomas Pawlak, Ireneusz Rosinski, Sabine Krug, Maria Weber and the Neapolitan singer-songwriter Alessio Arena. The sets will be curated by Wiebke Heeren.
