Futuroteatro, in Naples the theatre is virgin: every Saturday and Sunday at 20pm

At the crossroads between Porta Capuana and Forcella, in Naples, a new approach to theatre enjoyment is being created. Futuroteatro is the space, the mood, the perspective that overturns the actors/performers' being on stage, overturns the direction as we have always known it, and renews the relationship between the stage and the audience that watches-participates in the staging. Everything is virgin and remains so, behind those blue lacquered doors of via Oronzio Costa 16-26. Both before and after the show. Virgin and mysterious, like the source of an idea.

A Living and Participatory Theatre

There are those who say that now – and for too long now – in the theater the spectators are a dead body and brain, passive, without reactions. Futuroteatro shows that this assumption is not always true. Emanation of a more dilated and expanded project that is part of the macro-adventure entitled THEATRE AS A MODEL, this action, coordinated by a group of artists of Neapolitan and non-Neapolitan origin, continues to bring two titles to the bill until the end of September: “Dove sono?” and “M'allicordo”. The repeat days are Saturday (for the first title) and Sunday (for the second) with the start at 20 pm, which also includes a welcoming aperitif. An entirely free invitation in this phase for those who choose to experience the Vesuvian possibility. Finally, from October, the ticket will be paid regularly to access the theater, coinciding with the third title arriving in the program.

A New Vision of Theatre

Futuroteatro simply investigates the possibility of the development of theater in the future. Because, looking ahead, theater in the future will be small – in geometry – in contact with the public – in the methods of proposal – and based on the author's text and not on the fame of directors and/or actors. Regardless of the identities of each and the names on the bill. It is a theater that is made in the moment in which it happens and by those who make it and receive it together.
