Pompeian Games and Historical Reenactments
In Pompeii, the GEP will include a special event related to the Ludi Pompeiani, with a gathering of over 100 historical reenactors from the XNUMXst century AD near the amphitheater. Visitors will be able to watch demonstrations by Legionnaires, gladiator fights, and a religious ceremony that will start from the Forum and move toward the Amphitheater. Daytime admission to the archaeological areas will follow the ordinary rates, with the event included in the entrance ticket.
Archeo Music Workshops and Activities for Children
The Quadriportico dei Teatri will host a free archeomusic workshop for children and families from 10.00:17.00 to XNUMX:XNUMX. Various ancient musical instruments will be on display, and children will have the opportunity to play some of them. The meeting will be led by experts in the field, such as Walter Maioli and Carmine Di Biasi.
Evening Openings and Guided Tours
On Saturday evening, September 28, all the sites in the Park will offer evening openings at the symbolic cost of €1. In Pompeii, evening walks will be available that include access to some houses on the eastern side of the ancient city, the large Palestra, and the Villa of the Mysteries. On September 26, 2024, in line with the theme of the GEP, the Tulipano youth group will organize a free route to discover the natural and cultural component of Pompeii. The initiative focuses on the enhancement of greenery and the social garden, with a route coordinated by Dr. Maurizio Bartolini.
