Just minutes before the highly anticipated Juventus-Napoli match, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli spoke to DAZN. Giuntoli emphasized the importance of his former assistant Giovanni Manna, now Napoli's sporting director: "Manna was crucial to me. He introduced me to the Juventus world, and I thank him very much for that."
Reflecting on the title fight, Giuntoli acknowledged Napoli's solidity: “They are a tried and tested team, with eight or nine elevenths who have been playing together for many years.
Furthermore, Napoli has made an unprecedented market, investing in already established players. We, on the other hand, have focused on an important but more prospective market, starting a refoundation also in the philosophy of the game.”
Despite the transition period, Giuntoli , former Neapolitan sporting director, reiterated Juventus' desire to be competitive immediately: “We are a very young project and we know it will be difficult, but we want to be protagonists straight away.
We will try with all our strength.”
