### Igor Nogarotto pays tribute to Franco Battiato with “The Voice of the Servant”
On September 21st, coinciding with the International Day of Peace, singer-songwriter Igor Nogarotto released his sixth album, "La voce del Servo." This album pays homage to Franco Battiato's celebrated album "La voce del padrone" (The Master's Voice), and contains 15 tracks that explore various social, literary, and spiritual themes. Among the songs, stand out are those dedicated to Cesare Pavese and Harper Lee, a song in Latin, "Pater Noster qui ES," dedicated to Pope Francis for the Jubilee, and a hymn to peace, "No màs guerras."
### A message against “musical trash”
“Battiato denounced it on September 21, 1981 in 'Bandiera bianca': 'And above all submerged by musical garbage'”, recalls Igor Nogarotto. “43 years have passed and the situation has not improved”. With “La voce del Servo”, Nogarotto wants to pay homage to Maestro Battiato and reiterate the need for authentic and motivational music, against the saturation of low-quality content offered by digital stores. In a counter-trend gesture, the artist has chosen not to distribute his tracks through digital platforms, preferring crowdfunding as the only means to obtain his album.
### A concept album for personal growth
Defining himself as “Ploughman of emotions”, Nogarotto has created a concept album in which each song is associated with a key word, representing a growth stage of the “Servant”. This metaphorical character, representing common people, goes through different emotional phases such as “depression, utopia, revolution, ecstasy, hypochondria, frustration, prayer and hope” until he obtains social redemption.

### Literary collaborations and spiritual themes
Two of the album's tracks are inspired by literary works: "Lavorare stanca", inspired by the homonymous work by Cesare Pavese, and "La luce oltre la siepe", a tribute to Harper Lee and her book "Il buio oltre la siepe". The spiritual theme is instead addressed in the song "Pater Noster qui ES", a pop version of the Our Father in Latin created for Pope Francis on the occasion of the Jubilee.
### Hymn to Peace: “No more wars”
In line with the International Day of Peace, the album includes the song “#RAPPERUNANOTTE” which promotes culture as the best revolution against war. With the slogan “No màs guerras”, Nogarotto addresses the issues of baby gang violence and the need for dialogue and mutual understanding to avoid armed conflicts.
### The first single
The album's first single, "Nel limite dell'impossibile", recalls Battiato's style with a mantra that resonates as a message of transformation and awareness. The video for the song has already received over 100.000 views on YouTube and hundreds of enthusiastic comments.
