A lively night in Ischia, where a Scottish tourist was arrested for assault and resisting a public official. The officers of the local police station intervened at a hotel, after receiving a report regarding a disturbing person.

Upon their arrival, they found a man in an evidently altered state of mind and body who was attempting to force open the door of a vacation home, inside which there was a woman. The police tried to calm the 56-year-old, but he reacted violently, forcing the officers to physically intervene to stop him.

After a brief but intense fight, the man was immobilized and arrested. The Scottish tourist is now charged with assault and resisting a public official. The episode has caused concern among residents and tourists on the island, known for being a quiet holiday destination, but the timely intervention of the police has prevented the situation from degenerating further.
