On Saturday 14 September at 20.30:24 pm, at the Visionnaire2024 festival, a tribute to the gallery owner, actor and art innovator Lucio Amelio will be held, as part of the DOC ARTE section. Admission to the event is free. The film “Lucio Amelio” by Neapolitan director Nicolangelo Gelormini, who received the 24 Nastri d'Argento Special Culture Award, will be screened. One of the evening's guests of honor will be American actor Tomas Arana, who will receive the “VisionnaireXNUMX Cinema” award with a work by artist Pietro Caporrella.

Tomas Arana began his theatrical career in Naples, in Mario Martone’s Falso Movimento group. He has been directed by directors such as Carlo Verdone, Michele Soavi, Koreyoshi Kurahara and Liliana Cavani. Arana is also known for his performances in international films such as “The Bodyguard” by Mick Jackson, “Gladiator” by Ridley Scott, “LA Confidential” by Curtis Hanson, “Limitless” by Neil Burger, “The Dark Knight Rises” by Christopher Nolan and “The Bourne Supremacy”.

Arana continues to be a prominent figure in international cinema, with his most recent performance in the film “Limonov,” which premiered in competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival and was released in Italian cinemas on September 5.
Collaboration with Lino Vairetti
During the event, musician Lino Vairetti, founder of Osanna, will be present to discuss the Neapolitan period in the late seventies, shared with Arana. Together they worked, under the direction of Giorgio Verdelli, on the theatrical show “Ma l'amore no,” a tribute to Lucio Amelio. Amelio's self-titled album, produced by Vairetti and Verdelli in 1990, is dedicated to the artist Joseph Beuys.
Interventions by Personalities from the World of Art
The event also includes interventions by art critic Prof. Massimo Bignardi, Angelo Curti and Fabio Donato, all present in the film. The screening of the film “Lucio Amelio” will offer an opportunity to delve deeper into the figure of a man who was a crucial point of reference for international contemporary art.

The Visionnaire24 festival, artistically directed by Andrea Avagliano and promoted by the Tutti Suonati Cultural Association, takes place in collaboration with the FRaC Museum and the Municipality of Baronissi.
