Following the violent rains that hit Campania last August 27, causing floods and landslides, the Region has allocated one million euros to start the first restoration works in the most affected municipalities, including San Felice a Cancello, Arienzo, Baiano and Mugnano del Cardinale.
Urgent interventions and prevention
The allocated resources will be mainly used for:
Restoring water flow: Interventions on sewer systems and waterways to prevent further flooding.
Urban cleanup: Removal of mud and debris from streets and homes.
Infrastructure Securing: Repairing bridges, roads, and other infrastructure damaged by flooding.
The goal is to restore normalcy to the affected areas as quickly as possible and to implement preventative measures to deal with similar future emergencies.
The searches continue
Meanwhile, the search for Giuseppe Guadagnino, who disappeared during the flood in San Felice a Cancello, continues unabated. Rescue teams, with the help of volunteers and specialized equipment, are combing the area affected by the tragedy.
