For this reason, holiday, a leading European vacation rental booking platform, has analyzed thousands of reviews on Google Maps to draw up its ranking of the best airports in Europe for 2024.

This guide offers valuable insight for those who want to choose ports that offer not only efficiency, but also comfort and high-quality services.

In first place we find Istanbul Airport, which confirms its undisputed leader with a score of 4,4 on Google Maps, based on over 100 thousand reviews. The Turkish airport is appreciated for its efficiency, high-level services and modern infrastructure.

Coming in second place is Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto, Portugal, also with a score of 4,4 but with fewer reviews than Istanbul.

This result demonstrates the rapid growth of this airport, which has now become a point of reference in the European panorama.

In third place is Athens International Airport, which with a score of 4,3 and almost 43 thousand reviews, stands out for its excellent management and quality of services offered.

Following in fourth and fifth place respectively are Václav Havel Airport Prague and Zurich Airport, both with a score of 4,3. The Czech airport is particularly appreciated for its impeccable organization and cleanliness, while the Swiss airport stands out for its comfort and attention to detail, confirming itself among the most reliable in Europe.

Among Italian airports, Rome's Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport tops the list, ranking 14th, with a score of 4,2 based on over 44 reviews. Fiumicino is praised for its spacious facilities, variety of shops and restaurants, and efficient service.

Milan Linate Airport follows in 19th place, also with a score of 4,2, but appreciated above all for its convenience and proximity to the center of Milan. Further down the ranking are the airports of Milan Malpensa (48th place), Orio al Serio (49th) and Naples Capodichino (51st), all with scores of 3,8 and criticisms mainly aimed at the management of passenger flows during peak periods.
