An evening of fun turned into tragedy in Molfetta, where a 19-year-old woman lost her life following a shooting inside the Bahia club.
The episode, which occurred during the night. According to initial reconstructions, a degenerated argument resulted in the use of firearms. In addition to the victim, two other people were injured and were rushed to the hospital.
The investigations, initially entrusted to the Trani Prosecutor's Office, were then transferred to the Bari DDA due to the alleged links with organized crime.
The owner of the place, Nicola Spadavecchia, explained: “It was an instant. It was 2:45, towards the end of the evening, when these guys arrived at my place, the tragedy happened. Nothing like this has ever happened in my place”.
“I was in my office and this group came in and in a very short time all hell broke loose. Security intervened but it was too late for the 19-year-old.”
On site investigations and surveys by the Carabinieri are still underway and are coordinated by the DDA of Bari. The images from the security cameras of the premises are being checked to obtain elements useful for the investigations.
