Nola, Antonio Liberti dead: stabbed for traffic reasons

Nola. Paolino Marotta, 38, is charged with voluntary manslaughter. The other day he stabbed 44-year-old Antonio Liberti over traffic concerns, who later died in the hospital.

Marotta's judicial position worsened yesterday morning when news of Antonio Liberti's death arrived.

The man, married with two children, died in the hospital in Nola where he had been hospitalized since the previous day. He had been stabbed three times in the abdomen and had lost a lot of blood.

The violent blows had damaged his internal organs and despite the efforts of the hospital doctors yesterday morning his heart stopped beating.

Antonio Liberti had been stabbed during an argument that took place in broad daylight in Piazza Calabrese, one of the central and busiest areas of the city.

Thanks to the collaboration of some witnesses, the attacker Paolino Marotta was stopped and subsequently arrested.
