On September 27, 2024, at 19:00 PM, the "Naples of Verses" series opens at the Soccavo Library with the performance "Poetic Echoes. An Emotional Odyssey in the Verses of Salvatore Di Giacomo." This free event offers a moving journey through the works of the celebrated Neapolitan poet and playwright, performed by Francesco Luongo and set to music by Francesco Santagata. "Poetic Echoes" is a multisensory experience, shaped by Salvatore Di Giacomo's plays, songs, and poems. Francesco Luongo, the show's author and performer, guides the audience through the emotions and nuances that defined the poet's life and work. The event celebrates Di Giacomo's passion for Neapolitan folk culture, offering a profound insight into the personal relationships and the city that influenced his work.

The "Naples of Verses" Review: A Tribute to Great Neapolitan Writers

Organized by TRAM and Teatro dell'Osso, the "Napoli di Versi" festival will take place from October to November at the Soccavo Municipal Library. This project, promoted by the City of Naples as part of the "Affabulazione" initiative and funded by the Directorate General for Entertainment of the Ministry of Culture, includes six performances and four free theater and writing workshops. The festival aims to highlight Naples' literary heritage, exploring the concept of "verse" through poetry, songs, short stories, and other narrative genres.

The Events of the Review

The shows will all be held at the Soccavo Municipal Library, starting at 19.00:XNUMX pm and with free admission, subject to mandatory reservation:

- October 3, 2024: "Fiabe e Cunti" by and with Valeria Impagliazzo and Nello Provenzano, a dive into the most ancient soul of Naples through the fairy tales of Vittorio Imbriani.
