Naples. From weapons, to fake luxury watches, from banknotes to bullets. In short, a real treasure.
The Mobile Squad of the Naples Police Headquarters arrested a 43-year-old man, resident in the Aversa area, for illegal possession of a clandestine firearm with related ammunition and receiving stolen goods.
During a house search, the agents found, hidden in a bedroom closet, a package with 21 9×19 Parabellum caliber bullets, 10 6×35 caliber bullets and 13 7.65 caliber bullets. Inside a plasterboard wall, 120.000 euros in banknotes of various denominations were discovered.
Suspecting that the man might be hiding other illicit material, the search was extended to another room in his use. Here, in a desk drawer, a Beretta model 70 pistol, caliber 7×65, was found with a magazine inserted containing 8 cartridges of the same caliber, one of which was in the chamber, which turned out to come from a theft in 2009.
He had hidden 96 watches of well-known brands
Furthermore, 96 watches of prestigious brands were found without guarantees and certificates of origin, for a value of approximately one million euros.
In another room of the same building, another 122.000 euros in cash were found, numerous guarantees and boxes of apparently fake luxury companies, and various components of designer watches (bezels, dials, etc.) counterfeit, presumably used for cloning valuable watches.
For these additional crimes, the forty-three-year-old was also reported for receiving stolen goods, money laundering and counterfeiting, alteration or use of trademarks or distinctive signs, patents, models and designs.
