Naples. Operation by the Naples municipal police to combat illegal parking attendants. The officers of the GIT Motorcyclists Operational Unit were engaged in Chiaia, Avvocata and Fuorigrotta.
During the checks, 22 illegal parking attendants were identified and fined, 17 of whom were reported to the judicial authorities (14 for repeat offenders in illegal parking and three for failure to comply with the Urban Daspo).
The other five were served with an Order of Removal. As required by current legislation, the proceeds of the illegal activity were seized from the offenders.
The operation by the local police is part of the strategy to combat illegal activities in the city and in particular those involving parking extortion requested by illegal parking attendants.
