After leading Napoli to victory with a brace in the Coppa Italia match against Palermo, Cyril Ngonge did not hide his enthusiasm for the magical evening he experienced at the Maradona. The Belgian striker, increasingly a protagonist in Antonio Conte's chessboard, spoke to the microphones after the match, expressing all his joy for the collective and personal performance.
“It was an evening full of emotions, even more so here at the Maradona in front of our fans,” said ngonge to the microphones of Mediaset. “We showed that we have a strong soul and that we are focused from start to finish.
We are on the right path, we are working as best we can with the coach and giving everything we have on the pitch.”
Ngonge then wanted to underline the unity and team spirit that distinguish the group, despite the numerous changes made by Conte compared to the usual starting eleven. “Even though those who have less minutes played today, we are one team. It doesn’t matter who plays more or less: we are all together, and together we will achieve our goals.”
