Venice is preparing to celebrate one of the greatest talents of Italian cinema. On Friday, September 6th, marking the thirtieth anniversary of Massimo Troisi's death and the theatrical release of his latest masterpiece, "Il Postino," the 81st Venice International Film Festival is dedicating a special day to the Neapolitan actor and director.
The initiative, born from an idea by Maria Grazia Cucinotta and realized thanks to the collaboration between Hollywood Communication, the Venice Biennale, Critics' Week, Venice Days, the Campania Region, and the Campania Region Film Commission, promises to be an unmissable event.
The day will kick off with a press conference in the presence of a crowd of stars and personalities from the world of cinema, including Cucinotta herself, Anna Bonaiuto, Enzo De Caro, Vincenzo Ferrera, the screenwriter Anna Pavignano and representatives of the Campania Region.
The evening will instead be dedicated to the screening of "Il Postino," the film that enchanted the world and earned Troisi a well-deserved Oscar nomination. It will be a unique opportunity to relive the emotions of a masterpiece that marked the history of Italian and international cinema.
