### The third edition of “Area Nord in Festival” kicks off with Guappecartò
Sabato 14 settembre alle ore 20.00 presso il Teatro Area Nord, l’ensemble “Guappecartò” darà il via alla terza edizione di “Area Nord in Festival”. Questa anticipazione della stagione teatrale proseguirà fino al 30 novembre, offrendo una ricca varietà di eventi tra cui spettacoli teatrali, performance, circo contemporaneo e incontri. La direzione artistica dell’evento è affidata a Hilenia De Falco e Lello Serao.
### Inauguration with Guappecartò
The opening event on Saturday will feature the Italian-Parisian ensemble Guappecartò, which this year celebrates its 20-year career with a special concert entitled “GUAPPECARTO' 20”. During the evening, the group will perform significant songs from their career, some of which are soundtracks of successful films such as “The Art of Happiness”, “Gatta Cenerentola” and “Soyalism”. The members of the group, Mala on violin and Braga on double bass, will be accompanied by Stefano Costanzo on drums and Ubaldo Tartaglione on guitars. Special guests of the evening will be Dario Sansone and Gino Fastidio.
### Intense programming until November
Following the opening concert, the festival will continue with a series of events of great interest. On Wednesday, September 18, at 20.00:20 p.m., it will be the turn of “Nuttata,” a staged reading by Domenico Ingenito, who translated Bernard-Marie Koltès’ monologue “La nuit juste avant les forêts” into Neapolitan. This text examines themes of marginalization and the need for love through the eyes of a foreigner. On September 21 and 4, “Shakespeare and the Merchant of Venice – sentimental credits and debts” will be performed, a rewriting of William Shakespeare with dramaturgy by Stefania Marrone and direction by Cosimo Severo. The show will feature Salvatore Marci accompanied by various musicians. On October XNUMX, “Earthquakes/Terremoti” will be performed, a performance born from the meeting of Lithuanian and Italian artists, with dramaturgy by Sharon Amato and direction by Carlotta Campobasso.
### Special events and closing with “AB ORIRI”
On October 12 and 13, “Bauci – circo delle città invisibili” will be presented by Compagnia Quattrox4, which pays homage to Italo Calvino through a contemporary circus experience. On October 18 and 19, Bus Theater will offer the show “Costellazioni Umane” outside the Teatro Area Nord. On October 26, “L'ospite inatteso”, based on Plautus’ Amphitryon, will be on stage under the direction of Lello Serao. Finally, the festival will conclude on November 29 and 30 with “AB ORIRI – primo studio su spiegano tentati di procreazione” by the Garante/Caruso company. Area Nord in Festival 2024, conceived, directed and organized by Teatri Associati di Napoli/Teatro Area Nord with the support of the Municipality of Naples, promises to be an unmissable cultural event for all lovers of theater and the performing arts.
