"Gragnano City of Pasta" returns from 6 to 8 September, a gastronomic event that celebrates pasta in all its forms and sizes, organised and promoted by the Consortium for the Protection of Pasta of Gragnano Igp, in collaboration with the Municipality of Gragnano and the Campania Region, has now reached its 22nd edition.
Michelin-starred chefs and food creators are expected to participate. The event features stands dedicated to the preparation of local recipes, as well as talks and conferences, guided tours of the Valle dei Mulini and pasta factories to discover the production processes, and live performances.
Street art will enliven the entire city to rediscover the tradition and evolution of Gragnano PGI Pasta.
The event, following the traditional "Spaghetti Cutting," will begin with the presentation of the "Gragnano City of Pasta" Cultural Award at "The Pasta Hub," established by the Municipality of Gragnano and funded by the Campania Region. The award is presented to a person who shares the founding values that pasta factories identify with and that express Gragnano's identity.
The calendar includes an artistic program curated by Officine San Carlo, the creative hub of the Teatro San Carlo, with open-air concerts of classical music and jazz, the children's choir, open-air theater and stage installations. A note reminds us that it is also a celebration for the Consortium for the protection of Gragnano Igp pasta, which celebrates, in 2024, twenty years of life.
