On September 18, 2024, at 7:00 PM, the Maschio Angioino (Castel Nuovo) in Naples will host a traveling performance titled "L'ombelico dei Limbi" by Stefania Tansini. The event, promoted and funded by the City of Naples, is organized by Körper, the National Dance Production Center.
Synergy between the Municipality of Naples and Körper
This initiative represents a further demonstration of the synergy between the Municipality of Naples and Körper, which actively works to promote and enhance contemporary dance at an international level. The event will take place in one of the most iconic locations in the city: it will start from the internal courtyard of the Maschio Angioino and will wind its way to the Antisale dei Baroni.
Artistic Inspiration
“L'ombelico dei limbi” is inspired by the early text of the playwright Antonin Artaud, which explores themes such as alienation from the world, fragmentation of identity and the creation of a new language. In the performance, the body and the voice become instruments to express the anguish of reality, raising questions about the relationship between the human being and the world around him.

Körper Awards and Activities
Over the years, Körper has become a point of reference in Campania, thanks to the quality of its proposals in various fields, from professional training to the production of shows and promotion of dance. The Center's programming includes research paths that embrace different disciplines, promoting dialogue between the arts. The recognition by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIC) as a National Dance Production Center in 2022 testifies to the importance of its work.

Körper has established relationships with various institutions and local entities such as the Teatro Pubblico Campano, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli (MANN), the Accademia delle Belle Arti, the Centro di Produzione Teatrale Casa del Contemporaneo and the Teatro Nazionale di Napoli. These collaborations broaden the opportunities for programming and dissemination of the performing arts.
