Fratticiola Selvatica, a small village in the province of Perugia, was the scene of a dramatic discovery late this morning. Three people, belonging to the same family, were found dead in a farmhouse in the area. The victims are a 69-year-old man, his 66-year-old wife and their 39-year-old daughter.
The alarm was raised by the young woman's boyfriend, worried about the lack of answers to his calls. When he arrived on the scene, he made the macabre discovery in the garden of the house: the lifeless bodies of the three family members. The police intervened immediately, with the arrival of the prosecutor of Perugia, of the Flying and Mobile Squad, of the Provincial Cabinet of the Scientific Police and of the 118 health personnel. The coroner also intervened at the site of the discovery.
Initial investigations indicate that the victims were killed by gunshots. A rifle was found next to the body of the 69-year-old, thus opening the hypothesis of a murder-suicide, although the exact dynamics of the incident remain unclear. Authorities are continuing their investigations to reconstruct the facts precisely.
