Collaboration and organization
The Picentia Short Film Festival is the result of a consolidated relationship between the Municipality and the organization, supported by a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding. This collaboration aims at resource efficiency and guarantees a stable continuation of the institutional relationship. All the city departments, in collaboration with ACT Production, have worked to ensure total enjoyment of the Festival, involving sectors such as schools, the environment, tourism and commerce.

Program and sections
The Festival will have a rich program from September 26 to 29, with activities that include meetings for schools, masterclasses, literary presentations, evening events and screenings. The screening and award evenings will be divided into different sections: Past&Future and Green&Nature on September 26, Horror&Thriller on September 27, Drama&Social on September 28 and Comedy&Comic and Animation on September 29.
Guests and awards
During the event, the Picentia Award for Lifetime Achievement “Città di Battipaglia” will be awarded to Isa Danieli, one of the most important figures in Italian theater and cinema. Great enthusiasm is also directed at the twenty-seven short films in competition, selected from hundreds of entries from seventy countries.
Theme and objectives of the Festival
This year's theme, "Metaverse", aims to explore the convergence towards a single place, including virtual places. Luca Capacchione highlighted the importance of cinema as a meeting point for creative talents. The aim is to further root the event in contemporaneity, also contributing to the social, touristic and economic development of the territory.
Juries and competitions
The competing short films will be judged by a jury of industry professionals, including film critics and film technicians. A press jury will also be part of the event, ensuring careful evaluation of the competing works.
Parallel events and media partners
In addition to the films, the Festival will include the second edition of the Picentia Books format, the exhibition “Digital Revolution: AI and Cinema” and a green trail in Piazza Aldo Moro. The Media Partner of the event, Gruppo Radio Musica, will broadcast all the events of the Festival live on television and radio.
