Tragedy narrowly avoided today in Pompeii where a 13-year-old boy was stabbed by another minor.
The injury reportedly occurred outside a school on Via Sacra. The 13-year-old was shot in the shoulder and taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His life is not in danger.
The Police are examining the position of another boy, a minor, probably a schoolmate of the injured youth. The investigations are coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Naples.
The attack on Via Sacra, one hundred meters from the Sanctuary
The area of the attack which is one hundred meters from the Basilica of the Rosary and the police station is full of public and private cameras.
The incident occurred at the Brescia hotel school. The two teenagers apparently argued over a young girl, and at the height of the argument, one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed the other in the back.
The peer attacker was arrested
The injured man is in the hospital with a yellow code. The stabber was immediately arrested and is currently at the police station.
Police are reviewing the recorded footage to get a complete picture of what happened.
