At night, the streets of Porta Capuana they were the scene of a daring chase.
It all started when a State Police patrol, engaged in a routine territorial control service, noticed a man riding a bicycle who, at the sight of them, abruptly reversed and accelerated, trying to disappear through the streets of the neighborhood.
Sensing that something was amiss, the officers set out in pursuit of the suspect, who, in a desperate attempt to escape, made several attempts to get rid of a small package.
Despite evasive maneuvers, the police managed to stop the man and recover the thrown object.
Inside the package, the officers found approximately 30 doses of crack and one of cocaine, ready to be sold.
The alleged drug dealer, a 44-year-old Tunisian citizen, was then arrested and taken to the police station on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
