Yesterday afternoon, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, during a targeted operation, noticed a man in the square Capuana who, after having extracted something from his mouth, handed it over to another person in exchange for money.
The police intervened immediately, managing to subdue the man with considerable difficulty and after a struggle. During the search, they found him in possession of four packages of crack cocaine, one package of heroin, and €4 in cash. The buyer was arrested with the newly purchased dose.
The arrested person, a 39-year-old Nigerian illegally residing in the country and with a criminal record, was arrested for possession and dealing of narcotics, as well as for resisting a public official. The buyer, on the other hand, was administratively sanctioned for possession of narcotics for personal use.
