A 30-year-old with no criminal record was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Vomero station on charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. The operation began near the Mascagna park, where the soldiers, during a targeted control service, noticed the man in the company of four other people in a suspicious attitude. After being stopped for a check, the personal search revealed a dose of marijuana and a precision scale hidden in the pockets of the 30-year-old.
The investigation then moved to the young man's home, where the Carabinieri found a veritable cache of narcotics. During the house search, a block of hashish weighing 50 grams and almost 300 grams of marijuana already divided into doses ready for retail sale were seized. In addition, the military found and seized 13.280 euros in cash, considered the proceeds of the illicit activity.
During the operation, three other precision scales soaked in narcotics were also discovered, as well as various materials used to package drugs, confirming that the house was used as an operational base for drug dealing. The arrest of the young man, who until now had no criminal record, represents a severe blow to drug dealing in the neighborhood Vomero.
