On Saturday, September 21, the evocative Piazza Teatro Franco Dragone in Cairano will host an unforgettable performance as part of the Ra.id Festivals Dance Space Subjectivity 2024 contemporary dance festival. This event, supported by the Campania Region, the Municipalities of Solofra and Cairano, and recognized by the MiC, promises to offer audiences a unique performance that explores themes of spirituality and culture through movement.
A New Stage for Ra.id Festivals
After a very successful start with six dates at the Palazzo Ducale Orsini in Solofra, the 2024 edition of the renowned festival moves to Cairano. The choice of the new location is not accidental: Piazza Teatro Franco Dragone offers a magical atmosphere and a perfect artistic context for the scheduled performances.
“Guede Nibo”: A Unique Performance
The highlight of the evening will undoubtedly be “Guede Nibo,” a creation by the talented choreographer Hilde Grella together with her Cantiere Danza Project and Co.CIS (Coordination of Irpine Entertainment Companies). The performance is inspired by the spiritual figure of Guede Nibo, an Iwa leader of the spirits of the dead in the Haitian Creole cult. Guede Nibo is depicted as a dandy with a jacket and top hat, a symbol of an entity that can lead followers through mystical epiphanies and moments of pure joy.
A Cast of Excellence
On stage, the audience will be able to admire a cast of extraordinary dancers, including Antonia Buono, Susy Capolupo, Laura Forcellati, Hilde Grella herself, Simonetta Incarnato and Riccardo Venezia. The performance promises to blend spiritual reflection and vital celebration into a single engaging and evocative experience.
