A Salerno, in the Torrione neighborhood, a car was stolen, but the perpetrators were intercepted by the police. A chase ensued on the ring road, during which two patrols chased the car. The chase ended with the arrest of four people, accused of aggravated theft in competition. The episode occurred yesterday evening and led to the arrest of four men, from the Naples area, by the agents of the Flying Squad.
According to the investigation, the four allegedly stole a Fiat 500X in the Torrione neighborhood shortly before the chase. Their escape ended on the A2-A3 motorway junction in the direction of Naples, where they were stopped.
The police seized various tools used in the theft, including a jammer to disturb frequencies, an American pipe wrench, screwdrivers and some pendrives.
