Castellammare. A road homicide investigation is underway involving the 21-year-old man from Angri who was driving the black Fiat 500 that collided last night with the Fiat Panda driven by 20-year-old Salvatore Russo (who died instantly) and his 24-year-old brother (who was injured) at the fatal intersection in the Carmiano Bridge area between Gragnano and Santa Maria la Carità.

The images from public video surveillance, spread on social media and also in the hands of investigators, clearly show the speed of the two cars at the intersection (the 500 is going much faster) and how neither of them used caution at the intersection.

Salvatore Russo also had a stop sign to respect and did not respect it. In the meantime the cars were seized and the boy in the 500 was also subjected to tests to determine whether he was fit to drive at the time of the impact.

The Torre Annunziata prosecutor's office, having received the report from the Carabinieri who responded to the scene and the CCTV footage, is ready to send a formal notice of investigation, as is now required, to the driver of the Fiat 500, requesting him to appoint his medical and legal experts to assist in the autopsy of the unfortunate 20-year-old Salvatore Russo, which will take place in the coming days.
