Naples. In an operation conducted yesterday afternoon, the Naples Flying Squad busted a clandestine weapons cache in Scampia, arresting two men, aged 32 and 20.
The police, following a specific investigative lead, caught the two young men suspiciously carrying two packages from a location they owned. Inside the packages, they found two rifles, one of which was stolen.
Subsequently, extending the searches to the warehouse, the agents made a macabre discovery: numerous other rifles, two pistols, ammunition of various calibers, a device for manufacturing cartridges and even gunpowder.

Surprisingly, one of the stolen rifles had been reported stolen by the 32-year-old's father, who also lived in the same building as the warehouse. He was also charged with possession of numerous knives and bullets.
The two arrested men were taken to the Poggioreale prison pending a validation hearing.
