The 17-year-old arrested for killing his mother, father and 12-year-old brother in Paderno Dugnano, in Milan, has asked again to be able to meet his relatives.
This was stated by defense attorney Amedeo Rizza outside the Beccaria juvenile prison, where he met with the boy this morning. "He asked about his family members, who currently consist of his grandparents and aunt, and when he'll be able to meet with them. After tomorrow's validation decision, he'll be able to."
The teenager also asked the lawyer to bring him some school textbooks. "He's reading library books. He's a boy who reads a lot, and he also asked me for school books. I brought him one today."
"Recalling the key moments of what happened disturbs him. He alternates between seemingly calm recounting and moments of uncontrollable tears. The thought of what he's done brings about a very agitated and distressed state of mind."
This was stated by lawyer Amedeo Rizza, representing the 17-year-old arrested for the family massacre in Paderno Dugnano, near Milan, after an interview with the teenager at the Beccaria juvenile prison.
A "very quick" meeting, "aimed at explaining to him how tomorrow's validation hearing will work, the most important step in this pre-trial phase." From this perspective, the lawyer said, "he's calm, as far as that term can be used at this time.
He knows he'll have to face this act again and he knows he'll have to explain what happened for the third or fourth time, which obviously upsets him a little." The fundamental question now "is premeditation or not," he added. "The prosecutor disputes it, in my opinion from a legal standpoint it doesn't exist."
