The Teatro Area Nord continues to host the "Area Nord in Festival," a series of theatrical events that are capturing the interest of Neapolitan audiences. Nuttata: Scenic reading by Domenico Ingenito
On Wednesday, September 18, at 20.00:1977 p.m., “Nuttata” is scheduled, a staged reading by Domenico Ingenito. Ingenito is also the author of the Neapolitan translation of the monologue “La nuit juste avant les forêts” by Bernard-Marie Koltès, a text written in XNUMX. The Italian version of the title is “La notte poco prima delle foresta”. This monologue tells the story of a foreigner’s encounter with a stranger walking along the road. Koltès uses a language that seems closer to poetry than to everyday speech to express the protagonist’s sense of estrangement and marginalization, his need for love, and his condition as an emigrant from his homeland.
Shakespeare and the Merchant of Venice
On September 20 and 21, again at 20.00:XNUMX p.m., the Apulian company Bottega degli Apocryfi will stage “Shakespeare and the Merchant of Venice – sentimental credits and debts”. This rewriting of William Shakespeare’s famous text is written by Stefania Marrone and directed by Cosimo Severo. On stage will be Salvatore Marci accompanied by Andrés de Jesùs Soto Elizondo (cello), Andrea Stuppiello (percussion), Fabio Trimigno (violin, author of the music) and Giovanni Salvemini (voice and ukulele). It is a comedy that transforms into a choral tale, a story of “love and debts” for actors and musicians.
